Dr. John Kois
Dr. Kois earned his D.M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and completed his Certificate in Periodontal Prosthodontics, along with an M.S.D. degree, from the University of Washington School of Dentistry. He operates a private practice focused on Prosthodontics in Tacoma and Seattle and serves as an Affiliate Professor in the Graduate Restorative Program at the University of Washington. An active speaker both nationally and internationally, Dr. Kois also reviews for several journals and is the Consulting Editor for The Compendium of Continuing Education in Dentistry. He has been recognized with numerous honors, including the 2002 Saul Schluger Memorial Award for Clinical Excellence in Diagnosis and Treatment Planning, the Lifetime Achievement Award from both the World Congress of Minimally Invasive Dentistry and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and the 2014 Dr. Thaddeus V. Weclew Award for outstanding education in comprehensive dental care. Dr. Kois is a past President of the American Academy of Restorative Dentistry and the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry and remains engaged with restorative dentists through his work at the Kois Center, a renowned didactic and clinical teaching program.
